Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Lua Digital Media (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit cb2.thedealmaker.io or purchase any Chad Buyers 2.0 product.

1. Who we are

Lua Digital Media, a sole proprietorship of Louis Garoz-Ferguson, registered in the Province of British Columbia, Canada (BC Corporate Registry No. FM0770030). Registered address: 102 - 1638 3rd Avenue East, Vancouver, BC, V5N 1G9, Canada.

2. What we collect

  • Information you provide. Email, name, billing address, phone, payment information (collected and processed by our payment processors, not stored by us), and any free-text you submit through forms or onboarding.
  • Usage data. Pages visited, referrer, IP address, browser, device type, approximate location (derived from IP), and event interactions on the site.
  • Communications. Records of email and message exchanges between you and us.
  • Submitted materials. Sales calls, outbound campaigns, offers, and other materials you submit for review or coaching.

3. How we use it

  • To deliver the Services and grant access to purchased tiers.
  • To process payments and prevent fraud.
  • To respond to inquiries, deliver coaching, review submitted materials, and operate the community.
  • To send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, access credentials, schedule changes) and the email sequence you opted into.
  • To produce anonymized case studies, internal training materials, and aggregated analytics. Personally identifying information is redacted before any external use.
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use a small set of first-party cookies for site functionality (session, security) and, with your consent, lightweight first-party analytics. EU, UK, and BC visitors see an opt-in cookie banner; analytics and marketing cookies are off by default until you accept. Other visitors see an informational banner. You can change your decision later by clearing site data in your browser.

5. Sub-processors

We use third-party platforms to deliver the Services. Each one has its own privacy practices; we list the current set so you can review them directly:

  • Whop (whop.com) : checkout, access delivery, customer dashboard, payment processing (Whop handles Stripe internally; we do not see card data).
  • Skool (skool.com) : private community.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) : executors-only group and one-to-one messaging.
  • Cal.com (self-hosted at book.thedealmaker.io) : calendar and booking. Stores email, name, phone, and booking metadata.
  • HeyForm (self-hosted at forms.thedealmaker.io) : opt-in forms and applications.
  • Wistia : video hosting and viewing analytics.
  • Telnyx : SMS delivery for transactional and operational messages (booking reminders, application status).
  • Postmark : transactional and broadcast email delivery.
  • Mautic (self-hosted at mautic.thedealmaker.io) : marketing-email sequence orchestration and contact tagging.
  • Chatwoot (self-hosted at inbox.thedealmaker.io) : unified inbox for SMS, email, and chat replies.
  • Vercel : site hosting and edge runtime.
  • Vultr : VPS hosting for the self-hosted stack above (Cal.com, HeyForm, Mautic, Chatwoot).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5a. SMS messaging & mobile consent

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used solely to deliver the messages you opted in to receive. Phone numbers are shared only with the messaging carrier (Telnyx) strictly as needed to transmit your messages.

You provide express consent to receive SMS by submitting your phone number on our opt-in form with the consent checkbox selected. Message categories include appointment/booking confirmations and reminders, application status updates, account notifications, and one-to-one follow-ups tied to a relationship you initiated (booked a call, submitted an application, or purchased a product).

Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time; reply HELP for help. Opt-out requests are honored across all of our SMS surfaces.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to deliver the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Backups may be retained for an additional period before secure deletion.

7. Data security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure; you transmit information at your own risk.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including British Columbia under PIPA, the EU/UK under the GDPR/UK GDPR, and California under the CCPA), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent.

9. International transfers

Personal information may be processed in Canada, the United States, the European Union, and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We rely on the appropriate safeguards under applicable law for cross-border transfers.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted at this URL with a new effective date.
